LANDCARE EUROPE - Key success factors for creating natural carbon sinks with farmers

Art.-Nr.: Art.-Nr.: P156 EN 2026 1B

48-page colour brochure, A5, Ansbach (2026)

This publication aims to improve the knowledge of agricultural landscapes as natural carbon sinks because soils and biomass can store carbon if appropriate measures are taken to mitigate climate change.

The brochure describes four key areas for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector: healthy soils, extensively managed grassland, agroforestry systems, as well as peatlands and organic soils with paludiculture. It also provides examples of practical implementation and is dedicated to people working in agriculture, multipliers and decision-makers in Europe. It is not intended as a detailed guide, but offers an overview of possible management measures that can be explored in greater depth.
